well i followed the guide and i dont know why but i keep hitting brick walls. I ordered the LG GDR-8164B hasnt come in yet.

- got bored so i downloaded the simpsons game Torrent, its good cause its 4.37 GB.

- Then the dvd write lito on that i had didnt support burning DVD-R at 2x or 4x. Luckily i had an extra LG GSA-4081B which does support writing at those speeds.

- Then i thought the drama was over, it starting burning after like %5 it failed i got an illegal disc error.

- Then i was hard headed 2 more times and did the same thing and i just got burning failed errors.

Whats the problem whats going on, someone help

1) You don't need an LG dvd burner to write an ISO - only to dump a Wii Disk.

2) What media are you using? Wiis prefer higher quality DVDs - I use Verbatim DVD-R - 100% success rate.

3) Recommended burning software is imgburn. I hear Nero and Alcohol work too.

4) With the actual burn failing, it sounds like the DVD burner may be broken.

1) i know that, their was a thread that stated u needed a LG GDR-8164B driver to dump Wii games, i ordered that.

2)Funny i m using Verbatim DVD-R those are the ones that get interrupted while burning. I tried different media Taiyo Yuden DVD-R, it says burn complete but i havent tried it yet cause i dont have a mod chip i m waiting for an ARGON chip.

3)I m using Nero, always have.

4)DVD burners not broken, i used the same drive after i switched media and it says burn complete.

the writer may not like the discs - try updating the firmware of the writer

a change of disc brand usually fixes it tho
