hi... i tried to make the pandora using this guide - downloaded the file from the link, made the magic memory stick and blah blah....
the thing is i reached as far as conveting the battery to service mode... but switched it off, removed the battery, then put it back again, the universal menu doesnt come out though there is power... i'm not sure what's wrong... but when i was making the magic memory stick, the DOS did not ask me if it was ok to format drive g:, and im guessing something went wrong.. i dont really know. does that have any connection??? how can i recover my psp??? help pls?

Instead of a menu popping out, the screen just went blank and nothing comes out at all, all it does was "powered on"~ cant go back to recovery mode as well ! help!
edit: oh one thing to be mentioned, is that this step :
After it has finished writing the files you will get an image similar to below. Just type Y and ENTER to finish the instillation of files to the Magic memory Stick.

was never shown in the installer, all it ask was press any key to close...

If the menu isnt coming up then the Magic memory Stick wasn't created properly. Try running the easy installer again. If it still dosen't work then try using a doffrent memory Stick and or PC till it works.

Aw man I having minor problems> you know the last step of the set up where you have to take out the battery and insert the AC adapter to turn it on> after that do you put the pandora battery back in or a normal battery? and one more thing you said to click on the pandora OS tool in memeory/game, but all I see is (Pandora INstaller for 3.xx) and (Despertar del Cementerio) in the memory card. Which one should I click on? what is this step for?

After the PSP boots to XMB place the Battery into the PSP and go to Game Menu Memory Stick and select OS Pandora Battery Tool.
You will get the warning screen again just press X to get to the Main Menu. When the Main Menu comes up go to "flash only serial from ms0:/eeprom.bin"
Go to Quit Now and it will exit to the XMB. Now turn off the PSP and unplug it from AC Adapter and take out the Battery.
ok i did everything right till i got to this part... when i try and go to the OS pandora battery tool when i press X on it i get this: "The game cannot be started. The region is not correct." someone help me please...

I want to extend a huge thank you.
I had used another tool [I forgot which] on my PSP Slim [came from the store with 3.80] to do an update. The update was to be done with a blank screen. Unfortunately, after that point ALL I could get was a blank screen, even when trying to boot with my Pandora Battery and Memory stick. I was completely destroyed, thinking I had bricked this beyond recovery because I did not dump the nand and was only getting a blank screen.
I also have a PSP Fat with 3.52 M33. I used this tool and all instruction, redid my Pandora's Battery/Memorystick combo with the Fat and updated it.
I figured it would not hurt to try it out on the Slim - a brick that won't boot into a menu didn't seem like it could be hurt further. I used the same tools on my Slim, and it is now recovered.

As of now there is no other way to recover a semi-bricked PSP SLIM without using a Pandora Battery + Universal Unbricker.
I have created this guide to help those that might not have a second PSP running custom firmware. This will guide you through creating a Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick using your semi-bricked PSP SLIM.
Download the file linked below...
Due to the size limitations on Media Fire I have split the download file into 2 parts. You will need to download Part1 and Part2 then place both Parts in the same directory on the PC and choose Univer_File.part1 to extract. Part2 will automatically extract with Part1 creating the complete folder.
Download Link: Media Fire Part1 and Part2
Mirror:
Send Space Link (1 full file): HERE
Sendspace is a free file hosting service. If you get an error when trying to download keep trying. It just means the free service bandwidth is at max and no more users can download at that time. Just keep trying to download it and it should start the download once a slot comes open).
Go into recovery menu by holding down the R-Trigger while powering on the PSP (If the recovery menu doesn't come up then you have a full brick and will not be able to use this guide).
Then toggle the USB so the PSP and PC connect via USB cable (a card reader will work as well).
Extract the file and go to the Easy Installer folder.
Start the Easy installer by clicking on the START Icon.

Select Language 1-3 Then press Enter.

Press any key to continue.
Type in your PSP Drive letter. Then press Enter.

Select "1. Continue To Pandora installer" Then press ENTER

Skip formating the memory Stick Via System Settings since you can not boot to XMB.
Press ENTER when it ask to insert new disc (you should already have the Memory Stick in the PSP).
It will scan the Memory Stick.

Type Y then ENTER when it ask if your sure you want to format.

Take out the Memory Stick and then toggle the USB off.
Then insert the Memory Stick and toggle the USB on again.
Then Press any key to continue
Select Option 4 "Universal unbricker for FAT or SLIM (This installs custom firmware 3.71 M33-2)"
Type 4 and Press ENTER

The files will now be installed to the Memory Stick.
After it has finished writing the files you will get an image similar to below. Just type Y and ENTER to finish the instillation of files to the Magic memory Stick.

Press any key to close the DOS box.
You are now done with the Easy Installer.
Now drag the RECOVERY folder that came with the download above to the /PSP/GAME folder then toggle the USB connection off.
Go to "RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP"
This will start OS Pandora Battery Tool that will convert the Battery to a Pandora Battery.
Press X at warning screen to get to Main Menu.
Select "backup battery eeprom to ms0:/eeprom.bin" (This step is important! It is needed to recover the Battery to normal).
After the eeprom is backed up go to "convert to service mode"
After it has converted the Battery Press X so the selection arrow goes to Quit Now.
At this time turn off the PSP by holding up the Power Button till it turns off.
Now take out the Battery from the PSP then reinsert it back in (make sure the AC Adapter is not plugged into the PSP).. The Universal menu should come up letting you reinstall 3.71 M33 to the PSP SLIM.
When it is done installing the custom firmware it will tell you to Press X to turn off the PSP.
After the PSP turns off take out the Battery and plug the PSP in via AC Adapter and turn the PSP on (without the Battery inserted).
Now re-insert the Battery and place the battery cover back on.
You have now recovered your PSP SLIM.

Hi,
I have WEIRD semi-brick?!
Well I CAN enter recovery menu, so I followed this FAQ created everything needed, EVERYTHING WORKED.
BUT, its same as before but with different firmware still I cant enter XMB, but can get into recovery menu, I tried both options, M33 and Original, with original its just black screen and it shuts down after 10 seconds, with M33 I can only enter recovery menu.
Any ideas?
