Why Why Why??? Codec Packages are some of the worst things you can do to your PC becides dropping it off a Building..These Codec Packages will Only Cause Problems Because Many Codecs Conflict with each other and in some cases even overwrite critical Driver files in Windows ...Uninstall ALL of the Codec Packages, then Clean out your Registry to get rid of any Invalid Reg entries and Restart your PC, then if you want to Decode Mpeg2/DVD Files then install a Software DVD Player Like WinDVD or PowerDVD these will install all the Codecs you will need to watch Mpeg2/DVD files and AC3 audio, Then Install the "FFDShow Decoder" and configure it to decode all of the Formats Listed accept Mpeg1/2 files..The FFDShow Decoder will Decode all Mpeg-4 and Divx and XviD formats and WMV ASF Formats and OGG and all Raw Formats...Then all you will need is the Radium or Fraunhoffer MP3 codec..Now you should be able to decode any Format from allmost any Video file without haveing to install codecs...If you do any software Compressing/Encodeing then you can install the Specific codec you want to compress too...Remember Codecs are Not Good things and one the Ones you will be useing for compression should be installed and the FFDShow will decode allmost any format....Cheers
