I have got the same setup but couldnt afford the high priced wheel mount (about £300 in the UK) so I decided to make my own...

In stead of costing £450 for wheel, seat and mount it cost £185, £150 for the wheel, £20 for the seat and £15 for the wood and fixings to hold it all together!
If anyone is strapped for cash and wants the plans let me know!

Thanks Oner, One last thing. Is the seat one some special rails? I would like to maybe add my own seat to it...

Just found some new info on how to unveil the additional cars, you need to get your hands on a game save file of GT5P JP and overwrite/delete your file to have all the vehicles.

From my understanding the Obutto uses a standard style seat railing so I guess you would be able to swap out the seat. I honestly don't think you will once you actually sit in the seat as it REALLY fits/feels good.

Hi, I'm new here and looking to get a PS3. All I can find on the net is saying force feedback will not work on PS3.
With that awesome setup I'm sure you know the truth.
Can you fill me in?
Thanks

Force Feedback does work on the Ps3 Ive updated my Formula One CCE game and it runs with full FFB, I also know there is FFB in GT:HD and GT5P Demo because I have played them all with my Logitech DFP.

hey im thinking about buying the Logitech MOMO wheel as i heard from a guy at work that it is the second best wheel from the G25 and it's 76.99 with free shipping from amazon.... my only question really is does anyone have a PS3/PS2 Compatability list so i can see if it's really worth buying.... i dont want too buy it and find out i can only use it for 2 games.... although just having it being compatible with Grand Turismo and GTR 2 would probably be enough to buy it... but yeah.... if anyone could please find me that compatability list it would be greatly appreciated... Thx in advance!
Edit: OK... well i just started to look at the Logitech Driving Force Pro as it is compatable with alot of PS2/PS3 games.... is this wheel as good as the MOMO or is it worse?

The DFP is (from my understanding) a better wheel in comparison to the Momo. Here is just 1 thread about it (post #7).

Ive been told when i was buying my DFP 6 months ago that if you arent planning to use the H Shiter there is not much differnce between buying the G25 or the DFP then.

The differnce between playing GT with a controler and a steering wheel is pretty big when you play it with the wheel you will never go back especially these good wheels, because back in 2001 i had gt2 on psone and my parents bought me a wheel (I was 9 then) and it was so much harder then using a controler so I though that all wheels were like this but when I tried the DFP when I bought it in July 07 I was amazed and knew that the wheel before just wasnt accurate enough like the old one a little turn seemed big and cars were hard to control so I didnt like it and races were hard to win thats why I snapped the gearstick of it about 1 month after getting it races that were easy before became not winable like a simple ford Ka Challange I had to push and dont know If I won it but I snapped the shifter off when I lost my nerve.
But the DFP is a whoel differnet thing the cars turn so smooth and its actually easier then a controler some people say its not but I was better with it in the 2nd hour then I was ever with a controler.
But its under the bed now because I really dont have a game to play it with now, GT4 the best Ps2 game I think but after playing it since May 05 I cant get into it again, I got into it when I got this wheel but after playing it for about 5 months more and getting to 40% (2nd save) first save corrupted at 78%:( im waiting for Gt5 Pro

yeah... i know what you mean about the older wheels... .i had one for GT3 and it controlled like crap and i didnt like it either but a few years ago i played a game at an arcade that had force feedback and i loved it so once i saw the wheels with force feedback i had to buy one.... and yeah im also waiting on GT5 prologue but until then im planning on playing GT4, GTR 2 and whichever of my 300+ PS2 back-up's it works with... LOL.

Hey people new to this forum and let me say this is one informative site so I had to join.
Anyways after reading Oner comments about this seat I sent and email to Chris so I can get one too. It looks killer.
All I can say is that this all started with the PS3, then the G25 and now to complete the package the Obutto SIM cockpit.
Just waiting for Obutto to reply back to me as CNY just finished.

Cool, don't forget to let them know where you heard about them from! You won't be disappointed with the quality and experience a Sim Chassis (especially an Obutto) will give you.

Hey Oner,
do you have any way of contacting Chris? It's being a week already and I am not able to get a hold of him to purchase the cockpit from him.
I was hoping to get it by Friday so I can use it this weekend but I know it was CNY so he may still be on vacay.
Oh yeah I did mentioned on the email that I heard about his product from you.
Thanks for your help sir.

Hhmm, that is odd he must either be on vacation or extremely busy (his last email to me was real short and he was swamped with work). Try this email address chris@obutto.com hopefully he can get back to you quick. I also saw your post in the RaceSimCentral forums and I know he does check that site so you have your bases covered (though RSC seems to be down since yesterday).

Yeah I did that, sent it to both emails. I join both sites after reading your post and mounting it on my desk it just doesn't seem right anymore....lol.
Well I will have to rig something up this weekend so I can use the G25 once again. Got to do the pedal mod and make an ebrake handle.
When I eventually get it I hope to turn the cockpit into my old CRX with the dash and stuff. :)
