I haven't done anything to it, never cracked the case, never dropped/kicked or vomited on it. Just downloaded some virtual console games.

It runs fine in menu, but the second you start any application(virtual console/weather/news/anything) it blankscreens and even disconnects from the wiimotes.

If you stick a disk in the drive it says there has been an error and remove it and shut off and blah de blah.

Anyone seen this before? Would it be of any benefit to format the memory? It's only been in use for 6 days so I can warranty it, but if there is something I can try to get it fixed I'd appreciate it very much.

I've tried erasing some channels I added, I even tried setting the date back to last year, but shockingly that had no effect.
