How big is your memory Card? Is it a genuine one?

Might be worth backing up all saves etc and re-format card. May work?

This may help http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/583348

PsP#1 : 2.01>3.71M33-4>3.80 M33-5
PsP#2 (Slim) : 3.80>3.90M33-2 All hail the UPMS Stck
If you need a UPMS Stick go here and then go here :-) *As recommended by January39

He said he's on 3.40 OE-A the option you said only works on M33 versions...

Are you sure the games don't require a high firmware??
If you want to know what is it's required version download UMD Gen v4 and drag and drop your ISO/CSO there now go to UMD Properties Tab and look at PSP_SYSTEM_VER at the right and it should say the required version of your PSP for you to be able to play them... the best way to solve this if your firmware is lower than the one required try try upgrading to 3.71 M33-4 just as mtek has said ....

:)
