i resently bought an xbox 360 with benq drive with moded firmware ixtreme 1.2 when i triyed to enter xbox live it asked me to update.
will my firmware be erased if i will do this dashbord update?? cuz i paid money for it and i dont want it to go wasten

nope...everything will update and work just fine and as before. i also have ixtreme 1.2 and did the latest update without any issues.

be warned though...the more you play backed-up (or even original i have heard) games using ixtreme 1.2 on xbox live, the higher the chance your 360 will be banned. upgrading to ixtreme 1.4 lessens the risk, but the risk is still there.
