according to the specs, the globe 360 v2 has an "on/off switch" which would allow you to play xbl with original games and not get banned. i still say "use at your own risk" as nothing is guaranteed.

yeah, turning the switch off should usually let you play only original games online without getting banned.
The NME V2.0 can be automatic, disables the network when playing backups. Otherwise, no firmware is flashed so M$ sees the original firmware when playing non-backups.
Haven't tried playing backups on live, no idea why anyone would
want too!
From what I've gathered, the Globe 360 changes the firmware on the dvd everytime it is switched on. But what about this log people keep talking about everytime, that Microsoft keeps locally on your console.
