I have been trying for hours with no luck. I have the VIA6721 chipset and I am trying to do the flash using Extreme BM and firmware. I don't understand, the drive was able to read the firmware with success, but I cannot get it to flash the drive, and it is driving me crazy!!! Any advise for me would be appreciated.

jsut making sure but u do have a MS28 drive right

or a samsung in that matter

is it flashed already.

if not then jsut flash it without the 10 sec trick

Ya I have the ms28 Samsung. I've tried to do it both ways. When it is on and I enter the port number then the computer just beeps!?! When it is not on and I enter it, then it just sits there at the port number, No Flash. Anybody know what I could do???

enter the write command and the program freezes cause there is no drive (i unplug all drives so there is only one). wait 10 seconds and plug the drive in, the flash should begin almost immediately. i found i-prep easy to use along with the flashing for dummies guide

i'd try the old way of using mtkflash as that never fails me. look for ps2menace's tutorial and follow that.
