hey. i was jst wunderin...what happens wen u upgrade frm a fw to a cfw?? do u brik ur psp?

If you follow the instructions nothing will happen other than a switch to CFW, most bricks during the process occur when either the Instruction is not followed or the wrong files are obtained in the first instance.

Follow the steps, take your time and all is well.

If u install it properly there is a small chance of bricking it.Example if when u run the install of a custom firmware, and you shut down the psp or the battery is off, there are 90% chance of bricking it.

ok. so i have a 3.80 fw on my psp. if i obtain the 3.80 m33 cfw (when it comes out) from www[dot]dark-alex[dot]org (no links alowd) and upgrade then i wont brick my psp?

no, you wont brick it, but you cannot just simple update, you must create a pandora battery and a Magic memory Stick, it's complicated.

brickin usualli doesnt happen often, its onli wen total noobies mess with the flash files and bricks it. most of them can b fixed by backin up properli
