Sound Lag!

I have been trying to covert VHS to DVD for awhile now. I have used Sonic My DVD, Easy CD Creator 6's DVD Builder and Tmpeg's DVD Authoring software. They are all updated but 20 mins into the show/movie the sound starts togo faster then the movie with a 3 sec delay. My system specs are as fallows:

Gateway PC
P4 1.8ghz
256 RDRam
80 gig HDD split 5gig/70gig
Geforce 2 mx400 w.64mb ram
Tv Tunner Card is Leadtek TV Deluxe
Sony DVD 500a -/+ r/rw

I turn everything off in task manager and and give the above programs high or realtime priority but i still get the lag. Please help!!!!
