I´ve been a PC gamer for years, but first time on a console as PS3, and i want to transfer my music, vidz and pix from my PC to my PS3, is there a software or device?, can i copy the files from a cd or DVD??
Do you want to physically transfer them or just be able to access them? If you just want to be able to access them from the ps3 you can use Tversity to do it.
Just put your back up DVDs into your PS3,they should show up on screen,press triangle and select play all on the video,picture or music menus,that should bring you up a list of all the stuff you have on the disc,once you find a file you want,press triangle and select copy.
You can also do the same procedure above with an external harddrive.
