Hi, reposting a question I asked a few days ago in another forum. No solutions thus far...

I bought Beats from the Playstation Store but the "Playstation Network Downloader" won't recognize my PSP. When I download and run the tiny xpd file, I get the error message:

Connect the PSP system using a USB cable, and then select [USB Connection] under [Settings] on the PSP system

Tried formatting flash2 (which currently shows as an empty, FAT formatted >1mB drive in windows), formatting/using 2 different memory sticks, using the recovery mode flash1 format, one XP and one Vista computer, different usb cables/ports, and, of course, restarting the computers.

Obviously, I can see the PSP and everything in Windows, etc. Definitely using ms0 as the USB device. So lost about this, especially when I'm reading about people having success paying for and downloading beats with M33.

I am on PSP Fat 2.71ofw>3.40 OE-A>3.71M33-4 (3.52-3.71 method)

btw, my handle has always been beats..

ps can't download anything from the playstation store. can't activate my PSP through account management either

UPDATE: I think it's a problem with my PSP's USB port. I bought a Slim (yes, for Beats) and it shows up as a mass storage device like the Fat, but it doesn't attempt to show a random item on the memory card in windows viewer. For example, when I plug in my Fat, a preview window will pop up that says "windows cannot display..." and it'll have tried to open something random like a CSO or PBP. so weird. and it's not autoplay settings or anything. whatever. I'll give Fat to my girlfriend to play TekkenDR on.
