if you have a cfw psp you can run a program on the psp that will software mod your battery. The files that you write on the MS will not convert your battery.

You have to create a Magic Memory Stick and a Pandora Battery. Both are used together.

Which is the only option you have to downgrade/install custom firmware to his 3.80 PSP.

If this is a SLIM PSP it can not be downgraded to 1.50 you can however install custom firmware.

In order to get a Pandora Battery you have the below options...

1) Convert a Battery to a Pandora Battery using an application on a custom firmware PSP (So if you have a custom firmware PSP you can use an application that will convert the battery to a Pandora battery)

2) Buy a Datel Tool Battery.

The method you mentioned in your above post is very dangerous and I would recommend you do 1 of the 2 options I have given above. If you do any of the methods mentioned above you should have your parents consent before doing it.

If you have a custom firmware PSP and want to convert the battery via application then use this guide HERE.

If he has a SLIM and you have a FAT then convert your FAT Battery to a Pandora Battery. This will be your only option becuase your brothers SLIM battery wouldn't be able to fit in your FAT PSP and his SLIM wouldn't be able to run the application to convert it.

If you both have a FAT then either or are fine to convert.

You don't need to modify the battery. The battery you've created it's like a univresal pandora battery, it's for all programs, you don't need a special batt.So you can write the files to the ms then downgrade or install cfw to your PSP with your magic ms and your pandora battery.

You can start your battery with the AC plug in and without a batt yf you want to write some files on the MS.

Here you can download pandora s battery hack. click here

If you didn't backup your Battery eeprom or you deleted it you can only convert the battery by generating a fake serial #. This can have side effects on the Battery (making it unusable for Normal or Pandora use). Your better of keeping the Battery as a Pandora Battery and buy a new Battery for normal use.

You can also create the Universal Unbricker V3 Magic Memory Stick by plugging in your PSP via AC Adapter (without the Battery inside). After it boots up you can then install the Universal Unbrciker V3 files to Memory Stick. HERE is a guide that walks you through those steps.

After you have installed custom firmware to the PSP you can then...

1) Buy a new Battery.

OR

2) Install Booster's MS Multi IPL Loader HERE to all Memory Sticks. This allows you to use the Pandora Battery as a normal Battery.

Yes it will boot normally or press L-Trigger to boot into Pandora Menu if it is installed to the Magic memory Stick as well.

But Booster's MS Multi IPL Loader needs to be installed on all Memory Sticks that you use on the PSP that has the Pandora Battery.
