well i was following a guide on how to customize my xmb menu icon labels
and i edited the topmenu_plugin.rco and then i toggled on flash0 and then i copy and pasted the rco and overwritten the original and then i exit out of recovery and all that i can see is the battery icon and the time. Can someone tell me what i did wrong?

Sounds like the replacement file either isn't compatible for whatever firmware you are using or it is corrupt.

Did you backup all files in flash0 before replacing it?

If you did then just replace the original files back to flash0.

If you didn't you now have a semi-bricked PSP.

What custom firmware are you using?

Can you still go into recovery menu?

yes i can still go to recovery and i made backup files but it still acts the same way

i am currently using 3.71 m33-3 i think that the top_menu.rco that the tutorial provided wasn't compatible with my CF huh.

Alright you will need to go HERE and follow the section under 3.71 M33 semi-bricked toward the bottom of the guide.

You will then need to update back to 3.71 M33 again.

Also go HERE and follow these steps to backup your flash0 properly when on 3.71 M33.
