Well here I am with post number 2....I messed up gents. Was in a hurry was grabbing my psp and heading out the door unplugged power supply, usb cord, and threw it in the case and left.....later I notice that its still at the usb screen.....whoops....now the xmb is running really REALLY slow and laggy. I couldn't find any posts where this has occurred before. Anyways I formatted the stick thinking that may fix it but alas it did not....sooo... I figured I'd as the experts.....help me fix my screw up. Do I just need to treat this like a semi-brick and do a recovery?

I'm runnin 3.71 M33-4 on a phatty btw.

Go into recovery mode.

Hold down R-Trigger while turning on the PSP.

When recovery menu comes up go to CPU SPEED and make sure Speed in XMB is set to default.

Then exit the recovery menu.

if u can go to recovery menu, try to disable USB port
and restore default settings
maybe this help

woot fixed....looks like xmb speed got bumped down to 20 when I pulled off my genius maneuver.
