Console keeps freezing up

When I play a game on xbox 360 it plays for around 5-10minutes and then suddenly the screen freezes or goes to a black and white lined screen. If I then restart the console straight away I get the three red lights error. The only way I can get the console working is by leaving the console off for around 30 minutes. This problem also occurs sometime in the xbox dashboard as well.

I've kept the xbox 360 well ventilated so i doubt it could be anything to do with over heating. (or atleast i think so)

Can someone help?

uve got the famous three red lights...basically ure console needs to be repaired the heat strip or something like that needs to be replaced "type in three red light 360" in google get some more info on it.

yea i had the same problem when i got the 3 red lights had to send it in to micrsoft but it was free so didnt matter was 3 weeks without a system
