Your supposed to turn the psp that you want to hack off. Then insert magic mem stick and pandora's battery. The second you insert the two the PSP should turn on by itself. Once that has happened it will have an option to install CFW 3.71 M33 so press 'X' on that and there you go.

I created Pandora with my PSP running 3.80 M33.
I'm turning on the Phat PSP that I want to convert to custom firmare (currently 3.73)via the mains outlet, switch on then main PSP menu appears.Ithen insert the Pandora batttery, turn of the mains then try to install M33 3.71 updater ver 1.50, which is on the magic memory card.
Should I be downloading a different firmware before doing this
The Magic Memory card that I made has only the files on it that I downloaded in the guide.

I determined to sort this out, but i need help!!
Thanks for replys btw.

Read the guide word for word. There are so many users having issues that can be solved by following the guide as is.

Got it sorted at last.
The problem was the Magic Memory Stick. I put the files on a different memory stick and it worked.
Wouldn't fancy doing it again though.

Big Big thanks to larrylje whom has spent a lot of timne putting this together. And thanks to all the posters for all the advice to myself and everyone else.

Hey,

My question has been left unanswered for a few days now and I just want to remind everyone or any new comers who know what they're doing. Its on page 15, 4th up from the bottom. If I reposted the question again that would be considered as double posting right ?

Thank you

Max.

I beleave it will do just fine to create new Majic Stic and use with existing Pandorized BAT, especially on the same PSP. I did that and I left the old eprom back up from my orighional FAT on there for 3 SLIMs and another FAT with same battery used to unbrick all.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but that eprom back up is only if something went wrong, and it is for the FAT battery particularly, not the FAT PSP itself to back it up as service mode? Correct? I think you can back up eprom again and save to PC or CD if you want. I did.

I've tried UPMS like 1000times and it just doesnt work (ive tried it on 2 phat CFW psps)

I'm trying this right now, so far ive followed the instructions to every degree...yet im not getting the final DOS screen where it asks me if im sure etc. Just gives credits to the great people who made this all happen.

I'll post back with results.

Nope XP.

I read this on page 2 tho...

"The reason the credits come up is because when you are asked to format you typed y then took the ms out and exited usb before you were prompted to do so the reason i know this is because i done the same 3 times then on 4th try i waited for the installer to prompt me to take it out and it worked fine hope this helps anyone else with the same problem."

Testing it out now...
oh BTW it didnt work ( the one where the DOS ended with credits)

Ok thank god of jesus christ it's finally worked!
Ive spent a month trying UPMS to mod my psp for my friend for his bday...it's been a month now and ive had his psp for a month. Today was the final day i was going to try and now it worked.
thank you....so much :) (saves me $50 as well :P)

My situation was simular. But i found it is not x64 compatable, no matter what I did, yet it never made that clear when starting. I simply copied the unfinished files from extracted folders and moved them directly yo coresponding folders on memory stick and it worked for me. I had to do this w/ just about every so called "easy installer" out since they just dont seam to be with it in time for x64 os yet. It was just easier from the start to extract and copy to formatted memory stick.

No it doesn't work anymore all of us are just role playing pretending that it does.

Of course it works and yes you can use a FAT pandora battery in a SLIM.

If it's a new SLIM, you pretty much have to use the FAT battery and enable it in the FAT as well cause it doesnt work on most newer SLIMs If you nip the tab off the SLIM battery, then you can mount it in a FAT to enable it but same thing, gotta put it back in the FST to disable. Not tested to know if the low amperage of the SLIM battery is enough to power the FAT.

Anybody confirm if the 1200ma can power the min 1600ma FAT?

If you're talking about the newer SLIM's, It wont work anymore. It's the SLIM, not the app.

Run it in a FAT (CF only) to enable and then move "enabled" Pandora battery to SLIM to unbrick. You will not be able to "diasable" Pandora battery while in the SLIM, move it back to FAT to run tool again.

Yes it will stay as a Pandora Battery till you change it back to normal. You will have to charge it. You can do this by leaving the Pandora Battery out and plugging the AC Adapter into PSP. Now turn on the PSP then place the Pandora Battery into the PSP when the PSP has booted to XMB menu. You can now turn off the PSP and the Pandora battery will then charge.
