Hi,

I am having a major problem with my Princo 4X DVD-rs.

It appears taht every second disc is screwing up because the dye is running and it is upsetting me because it is a waste of time and money.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? How can I make the dye better.

PS I have used over 200 Princo discs, no problems, then this batch hits and I have gotten 10 bad discs already out of 25.

I had lots of problems with Princo's 4x DVD-R:s, too. It seems the Sony drives are not a good match with Princos.... You get slighlty better results if you use only 1x speed to burn the disc, but it seems that there is a huge difference in quality between the discs. Most of the discs usually work on my pc, but their compatibility with other dvd-players seems to be poor.
My suggestion to overcome your problem is to change the media.

Ive had no problems with princo's using a sony drive.
I think youve just got a bad batch.
If i were you id return the remaining discs for a refund.

Princos are renowned as less reliable discs. The more DVD's you copy the sooner you will come to realise that Ritek is the only viable alternative. Traxdata to be precise....
