he,,,my xbox got banned last month,,got the dashboard,,,took my harddrive to my buddys to get the divx update from live,,put in the divxdisc went to media,videos,play disc,said needs to download the update clicked yes,,so does the update download to the harddrive,if yes is it there permnetly,,divxdisc played on my buddys xbox,,when i took the harddive home to mine,,wont play,,says need the update,,any other way to get update or am i toast,,cheers

From what I understand you have to be on Live whenever you want to play divx on the 360. I just tried it not connected to live and it said I have to download the update. When I am on live it plays fine
