Hi. I recently went to replace my psp motherboard. I have a TA 082 and ordered a TA 086 from reading up, the TA 086 will suit because the voltage needed is right etc. When the new motherboard turned up I found it was a TA 081.

My question is this. Is it possible to get a TA 081 motherboard working with a TA 082 wifi daughterboard and a replacement power board.

I have tried but to no avail. All I thats happening when I put the battery in is the Green power LED comes on and stays on. Trying to turn the unit off will not work. Running through AC I cannot get the unit to switch on but it will charge the battery if it is in.

I cannot go back to using the TA 082 board because the clip for the lcd broke. If I could get some help I would greatly appreciate it

Your stuck. The BUS Controller for the TA-081 is significantly different than the 82. None of your devices will work. I'm surprised that you even got the power light to come on. If you had the money to replace the mobo, why didn't you just buy a new PSP. PSP-200x only costs $169 US. The new PSP is much better than the old one anyway.

I got a second hand one anyway. I'm in Australia so it was $200 second hand and they retail at $279AUD but either way I would like to get the phat working.

Guess i'll have to try get onto the people that sent me the mobo.
