Snes emulator with gc/snes controller adapter problem.

Here is my little problem i was hoping anyone else found a solution to

I have a gamecube to snes adapter so i can use my snes controller with the gamecube, but my problem is launching the snes emulator from the downloaded emulator disc floating around the net with my snes controller connected through the gc/snes adapter.

There is no button i can press on my snes controller that will launch the snes emulator on the emulator selection menu (It can only be launched with the start button on the camecube controller, but not with the snes controller).

If i unplug the gamecube controller once the emulator has started and plug in the gc/snes adaptor with snes controller, the emulator won't recognize any controller. This means I don't know how to get the snes controller to be controller #1 when launching the emulator.

I was thinking maybe I should burn only the snes emulator on a dvd and pop it in and hopefully it would start without require me to press start button on the gamecube controller.

Anyone else have a sollution? I don't like the gamecube buttons with the snes games. That's why i want to use a snes controller if anyone should ask.

sorry about the post. i turned out my start button on the snes controller wasnt responding very well. it works w/o problems.

but now i found another problem

i can't access the emulator menu with the snes controller. there's no option that will let me change the button for accessing the menu away from the g/c c-button.
this means i can't save any game. anyone have any sollution?

i have an adaptor from RetroZone.
