Last week I brought a japanese system chipped wii from Hong Kong. I played copied games such as "wii sports" and "mario party 8"...which all worked.
However, today, coming back to the U.K, I plugged in the wii. Although, this time the same copied games which I put in would not read onto the wii's drive. I restarted many times, and put my other games into the drive, but none of them could be read. Before, all the disc could be read and worked.
Could this problem be due to my Dad's friend, dropping the suitcase the wii was in? Which made the wii unable to read disc...
T_____T"
someone help me please...
Really want to play ....
go rent some then or borrow them and try. If the originals work then most likely the chip has been knocked loose. If originals don't work either then your wii is most likely hosed from the drop.
A wii be hose from a drop? I searched around and there hasnt been any problems with wii unable to read discs after a drop.
Yeah hope so that modchip has came loose. If it has, is it hard to put it back in place?
Yeah, I read around and couldn't find anywhere that said people had problems with their sony tv's having a purple spot on the screen at the top right corner after a drop but nonethelesss, I have that problem with my tv after it was dropped. You're not going to find where people have posted about dropping their wii and having it not work because it's pretty much common sense.
If the chip is knocked loose or a connection has come off then you will need to tell us what kind of chip you have so we can help you through the process of repair. I would take the wii apart and post a pic of the chip

Are you sure the Wii Sport isn't original? I mean, it comes as standard.
Anyway, I would try opening it up to see any loose connections - Well thats what happened to mine. Was so P off when i realised my wii was chipped using "GLUE" yes "GLUE". I had to re-chip it using the proper "material" and it works fine now : )
Ive got my wii fixed after gettin some TV man to fix it. He opened up the wii and found out a yellow wire had broke. So he soldered it back in place. He also told me that the man who modchipped my wii used powder to do it, not proper stuff. There were loads of screw missing from it too....Unbelievable...Anyways im happy that it works now soo yay. ^____^
My modchip is a actel one, that D2ckey, well i can't remember something like that. Heard it can't play cooking mama on it, is this true?
