Channels have VANISHED!

Hi guys, my Digivox has been working perfectly for the past 4 months or so, but today the channels vanished! Tried re-scanning, but it only turns up 6 or so channels, all of which are dead old channels that never worked anyways.

I took the co-ax cable out and plugged it straight into the TV and i've got the regular terrestrial tv channels.

Now the only thing is I don't have an NTL subscription anymore. I was under the impression that once it was connected outside, which it is obviously because I can get regular tv, that I don't need one? Is that correct?

Any ideas on what's gone wrong? I've tried messing with the connection etc... but nothing's worked.

I just retried it and all of the channels have come back, however 70% of them are coming up as a "scrambled or bad channel".

Anyone else experience this?

Check the EMU is ON

Press menu
go into system information
press info on remote and type in 1004
new screen appears , change EMU to ON
Then exit back out all the way until u are back at the scrambled/no signal 'tv' screen , tune into S*Y Sports and it will update faster
