Hi all,
My 360 was modded a while ago now, and ive played plenty of backups on it with no problems at all.
Yesterday I started burning my own backups, downloaded them extracted .iso and .dvd files, and burnt them onto Vertabim 2.4 x + DL discs. The first game worked fine for a while, but then on loading the second level it froze and gave a "disc unreadable" error.
I then reburnt the same game and it did exactly the same thing, not knowing quite what to do I simply tried again, and burnt another lol... this one worked fine. no problems at all. I then tried another game which seemed to work, but then kept restarting while loading the first race.
Today it's not reading any of the discs i've burnt again, COD worked for a few hours earlier on but now none of them work. I put them in the 360, it says "loading" then just "open" as if theres nothing in the disc tray. All my other backups, once I haven't burnt myself are working fine.
If anyone can help me it would be mucho appricated!
Thanks...
Regards,

Downloading games is a big risk and is a total pain in the butt. I would buy a Samsung Kreon drive off e-bay and make your own backups, what I do and never a problem.

if games that were done by other people work just fine then i would say something in the way you are making back ups is a bit off. If it were the laser it would have trouble with all of your discs, both originals and back ups.

Everyone pimps the 112d, but any DL burner will work. Don't think it's the burner, but who knows.

^ not true. i had a dvdrw ide h16x and it did complete most of the burns and all games worked on my 360 but i tried the same games on other 360's with different dvd drives such as the hitachi and the games would not play at all. the pioneer 112d has rarely ever given me a coaster and plays everything i burn on all drives.

You're wrong dude, I know like 8 people in the real world who burn backups and we all have different DL burners and they all work fine. I'm not gonna argue with you, newbie, and could care less what you think. People who think Pioneer DL burners will only work are obviously wrong so not gonna waste my time. The old Bart would have fought with someone about this, but the not new, helpful Bart.

Well, i have a BenQ DW1655 DVD burner and have had a 100% success rate with mine. Any good dual layer burner should work as long as you make the back up correctly. Pioneer, NEC, & BenQ would be my top three. And i prefer SATA over IDE personally. Plextor would be a big NO. And Sony is questionable due to the fact that their drives are just someone else's drive that they slap their name on so you never know what your getting.
Also, have you ever run a disc ID check on your DVD's to make sure they are good quality Verbatim discs? You can try a different burner if you like, they are pretty cheap these days.

LOL, "ignorant fool"??...I think you are referring to you and your whole loser family with that line, moron. I bet if you put yours, your brother's, and parents' IQs together, you might reach 100, maybe. Go back to playing your Xbox as you are clueless with the 360 (and anything else) (as obvious by all the problems you have with your lens, burning copies, etc and thinking no other DL burners work but Pioneer).
