I just recently flashed (tried 2) a ms28 with a rosewell rc 212 sata card, it got to 10% or so and crashed. Now i cant get it to read anymore. I herd i need to get my orig.bin file where do i find this? Do i need firmwhere toolbox and is there a tutorial for this? I have looked for this stuff just to let you know. I also herd that your xbox 360 is compleatly busted if you dont have orig.bin and that you even cant buy a new drive.

you are having a real bad time flashing that ms28, i kinda feel sorry for ya.
if you used the newer software like i suggested( iprep )and you got the 360 to read your original software than it is in c:/iprep_101/backups.
if you do have your backup on your pc and you can get it back to original i think you need to lrt someone other than you do it.
yes i used the 10 second trick (like 100 times) and Have the sata pluged into the back of drive and the other end of sata pluged into the internal slot on the rc 212 card. This is all i can tell you so far ill look into the backups. Thanks everyone, espially fudpucker youve tried to help me a lot of the way.
do you have a link to your sata card? because if it is like the other via 6421 pci cards, then the sata needs to be plugged into the sata port that faces the front of the computer. when it failed at 10% were you trying to flash hacked firmware to the drive or were you just trying to read the original firmware? it is not necessary for the orig.bin you just need the key for your drive(but i am assuming you do not have that either). i have done shit loads of ms28 drives. are you sure that card is a via 6421 chipset?? i really feel that it is indeed the card. if you wanna send it to me i will fix for free. i know everyone thinks people will steal everything but i am only willing to help people so it is completely up to you. i know how it feels where your at because i was there...before i got my via card, but just let me know whatever i can do to help.

I trust you compleatly. but i will spend atleat another 3-5 more hours this weekend before i bother you with my work. And sorry i for got, i dont know if its the raid making it un readable. It was a diffornt computer that got it to 10% before a stacking error. And i tried almost everything to fix that. Could it be the raid? and also on the via card link it does not say anything about via or the 64... model number but it is. if you search the model number on google you will get it.
ya, that card looks the via 6421 chipset but it still is diff than mine. mine does not have ports on the back of the card, maybe there is just something diff with that card, not sure, but the offer is always on the table just let me know.
Yea. well if its not to much trouble i would really like that if you could do that for be. My parents are getting pissed at me for constantly opening up the computer and im getting pissy with everyone for the every little thing out of frustration. If your still up to it that would be great. i can send it whenever you are not busy. I take it you just need the drive or do you need that whole thing?
