whats up? really easy question. i have a psp with a custom firmware 3.52 m33-4 and on my playstation 3 i have the lastest firmware 2.10. i cant use my remote play cause the psp tells me that i need to update. so will 3.71M33 Work or i need the newest psp update which is 3.80 sony firmware

As long as your running the latest firmware, it doesnt matter if its ofw or cfw it will work in this case 3.80 and soon to be 3.80 m33. I believe this checking mechanism was added during the 2.00 upgrade on the ps3.

There are ways around it though Dax and other PSP hackers have made whats called psardumpers which you extract the psar from the newest update and install it on an older update tricking the system into thinking that you are running a newer firmware. Though I believe this involved editing the flash which I'm kinda leery about doing so I'm just holing off till Dax releases 3.80 M33 in the near future.

I hade the same problem with 3.52m33, and i couldnt find a reliable inuf way to get it to work, so i downgraded back to 1.50 then i went to official 3.80 firmware, and it workes great with no problems, i know that i cant play backups anymore, but i dont use it for that anymore anyway.

white TA-082 fully bricked using wrong downgrade another white TA-082 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.40oe-a then to 3.52m33 > 1.5 > 3.80 ofw > pandora battery & magic memory stick to get 1.5 then 3.52m33 > 3.71m33 > 3.80m33, psp's still alive!!!
