can anyone help my ps3 wont allow me to enter an online id when i try to connect online it doesnt give a reason or anything just enter 3-16 digit but first letter must be from alphabet is there something im doing wrong

Are you saying that you cannot login to PS3 online network??? I dont understand??? Explain in detail.. What do you mean by "connect online"? does it give an error message?? What does it say or do once you enter you info in the login screen??
