OK so i have my own psp and a friends. I was able to downgrade mine to 1.50 with the lumines exploit and created a pandora battery and mem stick.

My freinds PSP is bricked. So I load up the mem stick and the battery and everything works. After asking me im about to flash and accept all responsibilities it says "Format ok - continuing in amoment.." then goes back the the first menu (Pandora Battery Recovery) again; an endless cycle. Anyone have any ideas? I redid the both the stick and battery but the same results.

did u use the universal unbricker v3?

I'll try it and post results. BTW i'm not ready to install CFW yet on my 1.50. Since my pandora battery obviously works, i should just create the universal unbricker v3 mem stick and try it that way?

wow...my friend must have really messed up his psp. It loads up the menu of Universal Unbricker V3 and i go ahead and press X and it says its "Foramtting Flash0...." and then after about 5 seconds it the screen and green LED turn off. Same thing if I press "O."

Im gonna go ahead and assume his psp is bricked for life?

and FYI backstory: He never downgraded or installed CFW. His psp just started turning itself off and wouldnt save sometimes. Then one day it boots up to the XMB and freezes. It wouldn't power off so after 5 minutes he just took the battery out and it wouldn't cut back on. It gets the green led for about 30 secs then it turns off.
