Hello All,

I have read a few thread on the ps3 games begin region free.

And I have seen Grand Turismo 5 on Play-Asia for sale since its release in Japan. I was wondering if the game or the ps3 will translate the languages. I don't want to purchase games from Japan or Asia unless their is some sort of translation built into either the game or ps3.

Hard to say, since it was only released in Japan I'd have to say no, it's Japanese only. But I don't know the specifics, besides who needs to read a racing game lol...

When MGS 4 comes out in Japan first I want to get it early along with a few other games as well.

Yeah, I'm definitely camping out release day for that one. Or at least Preorder it from EB games. NEVER preorder from walmart those bastards don't understand the concept of a preorder, by friend preordered assassins creed and didn't get it till about 4 days after the release date.

So in that case the question still stands.

Can either the ps3 or the game disk change the language or have language select. I would like to get a few games from Play Asia.com but only knowing that I am going to have English translations.

No you cant change the language of an asian imported game. gt5 is simple to understand if you cant read kanji.
