I dont use my 360 anymore to play games so I was wondering if I open it up & take out the DVD drive will it work?
If it would, then would I be able to open up my HD DVD drive & put it in my 360 & then just plug it into the USB on the back (drill a hole throught he case for the leads)....
So basically my 360 would just be a HD DVD player?
Is the 360 drive defective? Why would you take it out, instead of just leaving there and playing the HD DVD player like normal? As an aside, why don't you like playing the games? If it's money, just buy the games used. If I were you, I'd sell the 360 (even if broken drive) and the HD DVD player on E-bay and then buy a Blu Ray player since you like movies and it looks like Blu Ray won the war.

Yeh, it is defective, so, would my 360 work with no drive in there at all??
And I wanna put it in there so I dont have a drive sitting next to my consolse...
So would this work??
