Hi guys,

Am back to the psp sceen, i had bought a 1.5 psp a while back, and yesterday looked up the net and saw you cud play psx games so went through the whole process of brining up psp upto date of 3.71 m33 - 4 with kernel 1.5 add on.

However the reason that am here is i wanted to play my ps1 games. And try as i might i cant find a guide for my firmwire above!

I just need to know a few things.

First i have my games, and i have created the iso of them.

Next i used a converter (which one is best?) i have used psx2psp

and then i just stick the eboot into its folder in the game folder - however game goes to black screen!

What is this i have been readin about keys.bin etc is this stuff not needed any more - am i missing any steps.

Any help would be great as really annoyed and cant wait to get my ff7 going!

Cheers guys

Paul

I am running the same fw on a fat psp. I am having no problems other that PAL vs NTSC games( I had problems with Resident Evil 3). Make sure that the name of the folder that your eboot and keys files are in is the game id number ie SLUS58884.

The folder does not need to be named as any game ID.

Do these steps...

Rip PSX game to an image file.

Convert it to EBOOT with PSX2PSP.

Place the EBOOT file in a folder named whatever the game is.

Then place that in the /PSP/GAME folder.

So the directory would look like...

ms0:/PSP/GAME/GAMEFOLDER/EBOOT.PBP

Now go HERE and download the popsloader plug-in for 3.71 M33-3/M33-4.

Follow the guide for install/use of it.

Your problem with the game could be that 3.71 can not boot the game properly. Installing the popsloader plug-in will let you emulate other kernel versions that might boot and play the game properly.
