Nero 7 freezes my computer

Ive been using nero 7 for awhile now but all of a sudden it will freeze my entire computer when it tries to transcode files. I have reinstalled cleaned the registry and did spyware and virus scans and it still freezes any help would be appreciated


system specs

Pentium D 3.2ghz
nvidia 7900gtx
500gb hd in raid 0, 2 drives
anything else i will post if needed
