As u can see on my sig, that is my speed on the comp, but when i ran a speed test on the PS3(Wireless) it was at 3000kbps,WHY??????????????????????? My router is like 8FT from the SYSTEM.

are you sure it wasn't 3000KB/s

speedtest.net measures in kb/s (kilobits) with a lower case b
others use KB/s (kilobytes) with an upper case b.
3000KB/s is roughly 25000kb/s

its probably the maximum data rate then, some network interface cards have say 100mb or 10mb connections, you wont get that speed its just the maximum amount of data it can handle.

If ur talking about the speed on my Sig, yeah i do get that speed, i have downloaded lots of stuff at 3500KB/s

Everytime you do a speed test it will be different,im supposed to get 8000KB/s but depending on the time i do the test i get between 2500KB/s and 6500KB/s.
