Hey guys, nice site. My friend wants me to download some skateboarding videos and burn them ( 1 vid on each disk ) on a disk for him so that his dvd player will read them. I use nero express, should i burn them as data or VCD?

If he want to be able to read it on his dvd standalone. Then you will have to burn it as VCD.BUt make use that is dvd player can read that type of format, before procceding.

Yeah not all DVD players will read them. X-boxen and PS-2 won't, I can tell you that. Also you gotta make sure the vids are in the right format and resolution for VCD.

Hmm... I made some VCD's and they work great with my standalone DVD player but aren't recognized at all by my X-box. Wonder why?

The xbox dvd player will not play them. You will need some homebrew apps.It might be that you have a thomson drive. It's picky and Most cd-r will be not able to get readed.

Oh you mean a modded xbox with custom apps is what I'd need to play VCD's? I've been thinking of modding it, and then running linux with a 200gb drive and backups of my games running off the HD.
