you answered yourself, use convertxtodvd.

add a few episodes in and convertxtodvd makes a menu to if set in options and convert/burn as normal.

[a little tip, set menu options if over 6 to use 1 menu page as if you have say 7, 6 links will be on 1 page and 1 on the second] doesnt look right.

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Hi,

Each person are different, some are more picky on quality.

Forget the input file size, what matters in the lenght of video.

Try to add up to 4 hours of video.

See if you like the quality it gives you.

More than that, bitrate will be reduce more and more and you may not like the quality of the output.

I personally try not to go to much over 3 hours on a single DVD.

Thanks to Rotary and Cougar for your help. I burned three episodes to dvd and everything went fine ... but the episodes are in letter box format :(

Even when I alter the screen ratio to the largest size it's still really narrow. I made sure the 'full screen' option was checked in convertxtodvd and so all the settings were ok.

It's so annoying when this happens ... there was no mention of the series being in letterbox format.

Oh well ... that's life I guess - or maybe I am doing something wrong, yet I don't think so.

not sure in old convertxtodvd but the new V3 RC1 beta it has new options that may help you out... aswell as TV format PAL/Widescreen (for me) you have the below settings to play with

Rotary, I'm trying not to sound completely dumb here (not very convincing am I ?!!) .... but which option would you be inclined to try out to get shot of the letterbox format ?
