My 360's drive busted today, and I have some friends coming over tonight. I checked google over and over and could not find the answer. If I go out and purchase the HD-DVD drive, will it play the games as well?

No, the HD-DVD addon will only play HD-DVD movies. Trust me, it won't play games period.

right, it won't work. I imagine you could buy a HD DVD drive pretty cheap now since Blu Ray won the war seemingly.
