I have tried to convert some videos to psp format using xvid4psp. Only one has worked, the others have all said "corrupted data" on the psp. I tried a dvd (jackass2) and 2 divx films - they all failed, the only one which worked was a home movie.
I think my 8gb ms is fake (its off ebay) could this be the cause?
Firmware on psp is 3.72, laptop is vista home premium.
The settings on xvid4psp are:
Format:mp4psp3.30, codec: quantisizer turbo.
If anyone can shed any light on the situation i would really appreciate it.
Thanks.
Can someone please help, if i dont need to buy another ms i need to know as its costing me a fortune. I have trawled through dozens of (mostly outdated) threads on the net with no joy. Do i need to get a usb cable instead of transferring files using the card reader on my laptop?
I have tried putting the files into the 100mnv01 folder, my psp shows nothing.
Do i need to rename the video files?
i dont think there would be a big difference if you used a usb cable of a card reader (side of laptop). but im not sure why all the comercial ones would be come corrupt. have u tried readingteh readme file for the program?
There is no troubleshooting in the help doc. I am using version 4.1.1.5 which is not the latest as that is the version used in the guide on afterdawn.
I will try again with the latest version and also borrow a mates usb cable and try that.
I have used the latest version of xvid4psp still the same. Can someone confirm to me which folder i put the video in 100mnv01 folder, my psp says no video is on the ms.
If i put it in the video folder, the psp claims it is corrupt.
I am starting to get really f**ked off, surely someone can help?
If not i may as well sell my psp on ebay cos i'm not buying umd movies when i already have them on dvd.
Sony claims it plays mpeg4, what a load of bollocks.
Hi thanks for the info. I have tried 3gp with some success. I think i have established that the problem is my fake ms. It seems to play files up about 100mb ok, but anything above that it says its corrupt.
Also if i put more than one video file on the ms (even if they are both <100mb and played ok on their own) it will say one of them is corrupt.
So if i get a new ms do i need genuine sony? or is other makes like sandisk any good? And do you think will solve the problem?
Thanks
