Need more details, it could be your backups. How do you make them and what media do you use?

lol where did i mention i used backups :P
but good guess cause i do

i know its not the backups because i took another drive i know works and flashed it to the others key and its the same thing..
and it freezes on originals too

edit:: when i first flashed it it worked perfectly for 3 weeks, just now started being wack

reedit :: it freezes on call of duty also... i wasnt getting far enough..always freezes when its loading

and i had xtreme 5.3 on it, and now it has ixtreme 1.4 because i thougth maybe it could have been the fw.

its an MS28

lol dude, everyone plays backups here, too funny. Look for bhetrick or steimy to answer. I had the same problem as you with Memorex DL DVDs, and Verbatims solved it.

i would say if you switched drives, and still had the same problem it would be the discs.....as that process would have ruled out that it was the drive.

First , Freezing leads to the 3 rings. Twice this happened to mine. Sorry the info wasn't helpful. I'm not tring to advertize. I am not afilliated with Xbox 360-Pros. It's just that they did such a nice job fixing my xbox after it was fixed by xbox 1/2 a year ago.

Hey guys....I thought i'd jump into this post rather than start a new one. I've searched other posts, but can't find one that matches as close to this one for the problem I'm having...plus, alot of these posts are a year old or more, which doesn't help me.
I just bought a 360 for Christmas '07...got the BenQ drive in it, HDMI, Falcon chip...you get the idea. Anyway, I flashed it to ixtreme 1.4, started burning backups at 2.4 using Verbatims. Generally, i'm really busy, so I haven't had the chance to play much since I bought the machine. I've really just been playing for 30-40 mins. when I can. Anyway...backups seemed to work fine, but now, all of a sudden I'm getting a loud static noise anywhere from 10 min. into a game up to an hour into the game. Sometimes the games freeze, sometimes not. Other times, they do weird things on the screen. I thought it was my backups, maybe bad burns or something, so I put my originals in, same deal. I don't know if I have a bad 360 or what. I mean, this first started happening with Guitar hero III...not exactly a processing, graphics intense game. Any ideas? I bought it at Costco, and am pretty sure they'll take it back without a problem...but I want to make sure it's not something I'm overlooking. I could flash it back to original and send it off to MS (since I have my sticker on wax paper), but really...I paid good $$ for this machine for barely a few hours worth of playing. I don't want to get someone else's 'fixed' Xbox in return for my brand spanking new one? NO THANKS! Anyone else have this problem? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
