will an original xbox game backup run on a flashed 360?

Hi,

if i backup some of my original xbox games, can i use them on my flashed 360?

will they be ok burnt onto a DVD-R? or do they have to be a certain type?

Many of my xbox backups did not work during the first xtreme fw versions, the reason was because theres a few files in there which you patch in order for the backup to run on your modded xbox 1. But in order for the backup to work on the 360, the backup needs the original file, I cant remember exactly what file it was. I just made new backups of the xbox 1 games I still like playing using the kreon drive and use those now.

The new firmware files dont allow you to play dvd-r/dvd+r backups anymore, they must be dual layer disks.

It was the default.xbe. Most of the programs used to get the game from the drive to the hard drive changed it. There is a simple program called xbefix which can try and restore an xbe before you burn it to a disc.

The last firmware to let you play single layer games was Xtreme 8.3 for the Samsung.

Yes, it was the default.xbe, the patcher doesnt work for many games, I tried with san andreas, and around 4-5 other games including splinter cell, but didnt get anywhere, so I gave up and just backed up the originals again to dual layers.
