I modded my xbox 360's dvd drive by cutting a circular window in it and then used clear overhead paper to cover it up. Well my drive is much louder now and its annoying. i tried opening the 360 and covering the dvd drive with a book and it didn't help. is there a way i can get it to sthu?

ill get some pics up later!

how much did you cut out, you will really have to cover the drive up, instead of using clear overhead paper, try a thin acrylic plexi glass sheet.

here is a pic of exactly what i did. that is my dvd drive.

im not too sure about the plexy cuz first how would i put it on, cutting it would be like impossible. should i cut it rectangular and cover the entire top of drive or like the half cd shape and make a flush fit?

The size of the hole accounts for the noise, I would really recommend plexy, its not too difficult to cut, but you will have to file the edges to get a smooth finish, I think you should cover the entire top if you dont want the edge of the plexy to be visible.
