Wiikey Isnt Reading My Backups Anymore! Help?

Hey. i had my wiikey installed to my wii last summer and its been working perfectly! but when i installed the wiikey update 1.9g its been slowly breaking down on me. i mean everyday its been harder for it to read my backups! and eventually none of my backups work. only my originals work now. my friend re-soldered it and everything! and i tried using the recovery disc 1.9b, even in GCOS. and even the bootdisc in GCOS! i really dont want to resort to buying another modchip.. so please help?

Did you use the CONFIG disc in GCOS mode to turn REGION OVERRIDE back ON, after you updated to 1.9g???

well.. not right after i upgraded it to 1.9g but i tried that recently. my wii wont read any of my config or bootdisc DVDs

What firmware is your wiikey?

1.9g. and when i was on the wiikey website it didnt tell us to turn the region override on right after you upgrade. do you think i would be able to upgrade it even though nothing else works? :-\

Well your didnt need to be it right after, I did it to see if it worked.
I one thing I dont get is why your wii doesnt read the GCOS disc. I would redownload the CONFIG disc 1.3 and reburn it.

I know that there was alot of problems with the 1.9g update. If I were you, I would update to 1.9g beta hotfix. Then try the CONFIG disc 1.3 or CONFIG disc 1.2 however Rafadrawn has a link for a hacked CONFIG disc 1.3 you might want to try that.

alright... i just tried the 1.9g beta fix and my wii couldnt read it.. then i made the upgrade into GCOS mode using the program WiiUIv140 and it STILL didnt work! now im trying the hacked 1.3 disc rafadawn gave out

1. none of my backups work
2. my wii's firmware is 3.1U
3. i burn my iso's with ImgBurn. and yes i make sure verify is off. and i am currently using DVD-R discs, not DVD+R

yeah thats what i think... im thinking in going to buy Cyclowiz if no one is able to find a solution soon. but when super smash bros brawl comes out i wont care if i had a modchip or not for a really long time
