I just bought a used PS2 Slim and it has a MOD chip installed. The game came with a bunch of games and while some play, some don't and the screen rolls. I did a bit of reading and found out that the HZ rate must be switched from 50 to 60 and vice versa. I have 2 questions. Is there a way I can tell what type of MOD chip I have installed, (without opening the case)and 2, how can I change the HZ rate before the game starts up and rolls. Some games I can see thorugh the scroling and managed to change it, but some I can't seem to do that with

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Qwik

If you dont get a name come up on the screen sometime on boot up, then the only way is by opening the ps2 up.

Thanks for the answer. If I open it up, will I be able to tell what typ of MoD chip is in there? I know nothing about this at all.

Thanks

The chip should have a name/number or something on it, just post it here and I will let you know.

Is there a way to tell without opening up the case? I'd rather not try that.

Here's another question though. Is there such thing as software that would covert an ISO from PAL to NTSC?

Cheers,

Qwik
