No one is missing the point. This is what happens to discs that aren't top quality. The dye fades and you can't play the game anymore. So you have to waste more money to reburn. Use Verbatim DVD+R DL discs from now on and this problem won't happen again.
Plus, your laser is probably dying quicker from using those Aone discs as well.

I dont know about the quality of aone discs, but a quick google i didnt see nething bad about them.

you say the work fine on ur mates 360, is your one older? 1 reason i can think of is that if yours is older your laser starting to get weaker, so as you play your games the discs wear out and the laser cant read discs as well as it could because its old. (like this 360 from launch or something)

thats only if your 360 is quite old now, if not im out of ideas.

these aone discs are getting good reviews everywhere...the 360 is only 1 year old and it only gets used every other weekend when my children stay its probably the least used 360 in the world....i have one disc (its on aone)that a mate done for me it still works and it is the oldest disc i have.....will the disc deteriorate even if they are not being used...thaks for the responses this is bugging me aaarrrggghhhhh

Hey I have the same problem as you do and I use nothing but verbatim,my xbox is prob about 3 months old now,and it did it right from day one,Ive tried to adjust the pot settings cleaning the rails, running with lid off(lol)just about anything you can think of,what I find that helps on some disk but not all,is when you put it in your running xbox in it says unplayable disk let it sit in your xbox for about 5 to ten min, then try playing it either by ejecting or turning off then right back on.I dont know why it works but it has helped me play some games I have.I am assuming it has something to do with the heat of the disk if you eject the disk after running it abit you will notice the disk is warm.

Also my disk work on 2 buddies xbox's,one benq other a samsung. Xbox has seen nothing but verbatium,Also I have a hitachi drive.

samething happened to me Sid999. I have no clue why. All I can tell you from my experience is that eventually I had to buy a new system because it wouldn't play any games at all.

It's been in my experience that backups burnt at 4x with IMGBurn on Verbatim DVD+R DL discs are best for Hitachi drives.
