burning a dual layer ps2 game

I have god of war 2 iso file which is 8+gigs, obviously I have to use a dual layer disc, but my question is will I need to create a .dvd file with dvd mulleter, or how do I go about this? thanks

The game is DVD9, so you have to have a modchip that supports
dual layer games, or transfer to HDLoader.
Swap Magic and Cogswap will let you play the first layer only. It will hang later on.

Some chips, like dms4, just burn the .iso.

Other chips, you need to patch the .iso with toxic patcher, then burn the .iso.


Stick with Verbatim DVD+R DL.

I forgot what chip I have, installed it 2 years ago, any way of finding out what chip I have without opening it, if not its not a big deal

Some chips have a boot menu. If you hold a ceratain button or combination of buttons, a configuration menu will pop up (Which displays the chip and firmware).

For mine, DMS3 f2.2b7, you hold L1 when booting. Other chips have different combos.


That's one way of figuring out which chip you have.
