Is it dangerous too leave my psp firmware at 1.5 so i can put homebrew games on it or is it safe???

it would be fine as long as u don't try to flash or you could just update to 3.71 m33-4

You can still run homebrew on your PSP. Most homebrew coders have adjusted their code to work with the 3.xx kernel. Here's a guide that will tell you how to go from 1.50 to 3.71 M33-4. Please ignore the 3.80 M33 for now, as he has not fixed all of the NID's and some homebrew does not work with it.
