my 2year old loves take that .shine .this is the stage video of said .burned to a dvd put in ps3 .boots up and all that .cannot pick what tune .do i have to insert my own chapter points .how do i rip a particular segment from a dvd .any help appreciated .got loads of stuff not a novice but ignorant in this

I would love to help but can you make your post a little clearer? I really hope I don't offend you but are you using some sort of translator to help you with English?

What exactly do you want to do?

It sounds like you want to extract a section from a DVD, is that right?

There are 2 options I can recommend for cutting/trimming VOB files without any transcoding.

1) avidemux v2.4 (freeware)
2) VideoReDo (not free but a little easier to use for cutting/trimming)

There are many other applications that can do this also but these two come to mind as being more specific to your needs.

In regards to "picking a tune" (selecting an audio stream), do you mean while watching a DVD? If you have a PS3 blu-ray remote you can simply press the audio button. If you're using the control pad, then press the triangle button during movie playback and select audio tracks there (the musical note icon).
