all the games are U.S and I ripped them all straight to the HD (200 gig maxtor) myself.

some games don't work at all on hdd's. so you have to do trial and error on the settings/compatability modes.

hdloader has the highest game compatability, but it's for fat ps2 only; no usb support.

Im using a fat PS2, its an internal HDD.Got it on ebay, HDadvance 3.0 actually came with it. If i were to get the HDLoader, would I need to re-rip all my games?

no. once the games are loaded on the hdd, they can be read on all hd programs.

I may purchase HDLoader when it becomes blindingly apparent that it's the better option. Right now though, it looks like both programs have the same compatability issues with the games I want.
