I recently upgraded my PSP to 2.80 M33-2. I am here to tell you....DONT DO IT WITH A SLIM WHATEVER YOU DO!

My PSP would start up to a black screen and just reset. It would do this constantly. When the PSP would function, It wouldnt let me play any games (UMD or NOT) or any Homebrew AT ALL. I had to downgrade back to 2.71 M33-4.

You have been warned!

my psp slim is running 3.80 m33-2 just fine. no black screens, all iso/cso/umd/emulators are running with no problems.

i've fully powered it off many times, and it always booted to the xmb.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Maybe that's just an accident.

My Phat PSP History : 1.50 > 3.40 OE-A > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33-2 (semi-bricked) > 1.50 (Recovered) > 3.40 OE-A > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33-4 > 3.80 M33-2 > 3.80 M33-5 > 3.90 M33-2 + 1.50 Subset.

Did you have a custom xmb when upgrading. It's always safest to go back to factory xmb before upgrading. Then after upgrade go back to custom. I know it sounds stupid, but I've seen it happen.

why dont you tell us what steps you followed to update so we know if this is a self inflicted problem or a cfw problem? This update is very new to all of us and the more info we can get the better.

given that D_A has found the time to release a 1.50 add-on for 3.80m33 I am sure if there was an issue with slims he would have fixed it

there are hundreds of happy slim 3.80m33 users on any forum you care to visit

this topic would have been more helpful if you had listed your methods of updating so people could help you out...

i am on 3.80m33-2 on both my fat and slim and no problems whatsoever :)

1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2
