yes, it's .mkv file. Actually I did a search on AfterDawn but I don't know why I didn't get to the pages Berryone provided. Maybe it's the keywords. Anyway, thanks all for your help. I downloaded VLC and I tried playing the movie with chinese subtitle but the subtitle shows up as square boxes: When I open the subtitle file (.srt)as text file, the chinese characters are displayed correctly, but when I open it thru VLC, they show as squared boxes. What else do I need to install to solve this problem? Thanks.
no luck with other player. My PC froze when installing Zoom because it tried downloading stuffs from the internet, so I ended it forcely. So when I tried playing the mkv movie, I got "unable to play. This maybe due to a corrupt file, missing filters, etc.". MPC won't let me load the subtitle.
I also thought of burning the movie to DVD/VCD. Now the question is: How do I burn MKV movie to DVD or VCD directly along WITH the subtitle? Do I need to convert it first? What softwares will do the job? Thanks.
Hi all, thanks for the help. I am downloading ConvertxtoDVD to try. And by the way, I have successfully solve the subtitle problem by using MPC player.
